One of the most stunning and spectacular perennials blooming in my garden right now are Oriental lilies. They have the most beautiful blossoms and a fabulous fragrance. They are available in all sorts of colors and are another easy-to-grow perennial. The easiest way to get started is to buy bulbs. They can be planted in either the fall or the spring and will grow to 3 to 4 feet in height. That really makes them stand out anywhere they're planted. They prefer full sun and well-drained soil.

Another similar lily is the Asiatic. They have stunning blossoms but very little in the way of scent. Both Asiatic and Oriental lilies are very hardy for our climate.
