Here's something fun to do today: visit Northland Rosarium. They and the Spokane Rose Society are hosting "Art in the Garden" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are located at 9405 S. Williams Lane, which is southwest of Spokane. Go to Northland Rosarium's web site for directions.
At this event, there will be guest speakers including local garden guru Phyllis Stephens. The WSU Spokane County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and there will be artists and vendors in Northland Rosarium's beautiful display gardens.
Northland's roses are 50% off as are their perennials. Shrubs are 30% off. I buy my roses at Northland because they are own-root roses which makes them much hardier than grafted roses.
