Have you been noticing all of the beautiful tulips and daffodils around town lately? I sure have. They're just gorgeous this year!
Several years ago, I planted a few grape hyacinths in one of the island beds in our back yard. As you can see, they have gone forth and multiplied but what a pleasing sight they are. The pink plant in the background is a creeping phlox, a very tough perennial that sure is pretty this time of year.
Have a fun weekend and don't forget to go to the Garden Expo tomorrow (Saturday, 5/14). It's a free event put on by gardeners for gardeners. There will be over 200 garden-related vendors. It's being held at the Spokane Community College Lair, 1810 N. Greene St. I'm really looking forward to it and it will be the perfect antidote to the cold, rainy spring we've been having.
