The Friends of Manito are putting on a special event tomorrow, July 16, at 1 p.m. Manito Park's head rose gardener, Steve Smith, is going to present a program on the rose garden at Manito. It begins in the Manito meeting room which is just east of the Gaiser Conservatory. From there, participants will walk over to Rose Hill for a hands-on demonstration. This program is free to the public but it is suggested you pre-register by calling (509) 456-8038.
I interviewed Steve a couple of years ago and he is the nicest, down-to-earth gentleman. I remember learning a lot from him that day and am certain you will enjoy this program!
