This is the time of year when there are fun activities to help get you into the holiday spirit.
From Dec. 9-18, The Friends of Manito will be sponsoring the annual Holiday Lights Display in Gaiser Conservatory at Manito Park. The hours will be from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. If you're new to the area, Manito Park is located just off Grand Blvd. near 21st Ave. on Spokane's South Hill. The Conservatory is located on the south end of the park.
On Dec. 10 and 11 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., TFM members will be serving cake and warm beverages in the Manito Meeting Room, which is located just east of the Conservatory. Kids can participate in cookie decorating.
In addition, they will have a nice selection of poinsettias available for sale. The poinsettias were grown in one of the Manito Park greenhouses. Wouldn't that make a nice holiday gift for friends and family?
