This just in! The Friends of Manito will be sponsoring a lecture on "Growing with Hydroponics" at 10 a.m. on March 3rd. It will be held in the Manito Meeting Room, which is just east of the park's Gaiser Conservatory. The park is located on Spokane's South Hill at 4 W. 21st Ave.
The talk is free to the public but registering for the class ahead of time is required. To do so, call (509) 456-8038.
Following the talk will be The Friends of Manito's annual Tropical Plant Sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be plant lists and photos of the plants available on TFM's web site.
Tropical plants have to be some of the coolest things on this planet and this event is a great way to rejuvenate your midwinter spirits.
