Well, the peas apparently have been enjoying our wacky, wet and chilly weather. I walked out to the garden this evening and was stunned to see how well they're doing.
These ones are 'Green Arrow Bush' which came from Ed Hume Seeds. They are a type of bush pea, meaning they don't need much in the way of support. However, I did put a 4'x8' sheet of concrete-reinforcing wire down the middle of the bed just to give them a little something extra to hang onto. It has apparently helped because they are very upright.
This is a shelling pea, by the way. Can't wait until we get to start harvesting them!
