Just in case you haven't seen the calendar listing on this blog, I wanted to call your attention to the Gaiser Conservatory holiday lights display at Manito Park.
The conservatory will be decorated with thousands of lights, transforming what is already a cool place into a very magical setting. There will be all sorts of beautiful poinsettias and chrysanthemums on display.
This event begins tomorrow, Dec. 7, and runs through the 19th. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. but the very best viewing time is from 4:30 p.m. on. This event is free although donations will gladly be accepted.
Also, on Dec. 8 and 9, The Friends of Manito will host an open house from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be refreshments and this event is also free. This is a great way to put yourself in the holiday spirit. The Conservatory is located in Manito Park on Spokane's South Hill, 4 W. 21st Ave.
I also wanted to let you know that for the time time, The Friends of Manito are selling a gorgeous calendar filled with beautiful photos from the park. The cost is $15.00 and all proceeds from the sales will go right back into the park. This would make a great gift for the folks on your list!
