Here is a link to my column in today's edition of The Spokesman-Review: Start with crops that like to stay cool. As you can probably guess, it's about cool-season crops -- specifically growing peas.
I wish it was time to get them in the ground but after those crazy thunderstorms and downpours we had last week, not to mention the much colder temperatures, the soil in my garden is damp and frozen. I plan to start my peas indoors next week, though, and then plant them outdoors about 10 days after that.
We're definitely getting closer to being able to work in the veggie garden so hang in there!
