The WSU/Spokane County Master Gardeners have two brand-new series of gardening classes starting up in September.
The first, Basic Landscaping Design Series, is a series of four classes that will run on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, starting Sept. 21 and running through Oct. 12. The topics are basic landscape design; on the ground basics; plant development and design; and implications and implementation: your next steps.
The second, Fall in the Garden, is a series of four classes that will run on Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m., starting Sept. 21 and running through Oct. 12. The topics are fall planting, preparing for winter, practical pruning and composting at home. You can sign up for the whole series for $44 or register for individual classes for $12 apiece.
